Mountain View Academy has been an active participant in serving others through mission work. Our students have had the awesome experience of serving in various countries in South America, South Africa, and Asia.
For more than 23 years, MVA has sent many students around the world to help our brother and sister schools or churches with building infrastructure for classrooms, housing, or church facilities.
Recently, the program has added a medical and dental service alongside the construction group.
Medical and dental doctors have volunteered their time to join our students in the mission field.
Our students are able to share the love of Christ through their hard work and dedication which captures the hearts of the people that they were sent to help. However, our students come back with a better sense of purpose in life, and most sign up immediately for the next mission trip adventure.
After a break from international mission trips due to Covid-19 restrictions and uncertainty, our students travelled to Misiones, Argentina in March 2024. In March 2025, students will travel on a mission trip to Lipa, Philippines.
Mountain View Academy provides another mission trip for students to minister locally.
During our yearly Urban Mission Trip, MVA partners with local service organizations to meet needs in our community and with YWAM in San Francisco to help meet needs around the Tenderloin district.
Students can take part in smaller community service events like grocery drives and homeless ministries throughout the year.
These activities help our students gain a greater understanding of the importance of helping others less fortunate throughout our Bay Area communities.
